Classes take place in my private garden studio, a calm and focused creative space. Students enter through a side gate into the garden (clear directions and parking information are sent after registration). The intimate setting allows for personal attention and a relaxed atmosphere.
Build real skill over several weeks. Class sizes are intentionally small so everyone receives individual guidance. Clay, tools, glazing support, and all firings are included.

Choose from a selection of my bisqued pieces — mugs, bowls, plates, seasonal forms, and more — then spend the session exploring surface and glaze. I’ll guide you through underglaze pencils, transfer sheets, wax resist, underglaze watercolor, and layered mid-fire glaze combinations. I handle the glaze firing; you return later for your finished piece. All materials and the bisqued form are included. Maximum 5–6 students.

Sessions are by inquiry for two or three families who already know each other, and are capped at four children total.

Carve, ink, and print an original linocut in a single session. You’ll work on a 4×6 block, developing an image of your own — a plant form, object, or simple motif — then pull a short edition on paper. Reference examples are available in the studio, and the work remains yours from start to finish. The carved block and finished prints go home with you.

A month-long introduction to linocut as a complete process: designing for relief, carving with intention, printing, and editioning. Each student develops one original image and leaves with both the block and a small body of prints. The pace is steady and focused, with room to refine the work as it takes shape.

Woodblock printing is slower and more physical than linoleum. Over six weeks, students design for the grain, carve with control, and print a finished edition. The process asks for patience, but the results have a particular weight and texture. Once printing is complete, the block itself often becomes a work of art — a carved object with its own texture, ink, and character. Best suited to students with some carving experience. Prints and block go home at the end of the series.

Design and print a wearable piece in one session. You’ll cut your image from vellum and print it in a single color onto a T-shirt, tote bag, or dog bandana. The process is straightforward and beginner-friendly — bold shapes, one color, one item. Reference examples are available in the studio; the design is yours. The printed piece and your vellum artwork go home with you.

College Board–certified instruction for AP 2-D Art and Design, AP 3-D Art and Design, and AP Drawing. Designed for committed students, including homeschool learners, who are building a portfolio for digital submission.
The course follows the AP Art and Design framework. Students develop an inquiry-based Sustained Investigation of materials, processes, and ideas through practice, experimentation, and revision. They also prepare Selected Works that demonstrate a skillful synthesis of materials, processes, and ideas, along with the required written evidence.
Studio sessions include critique, assignment structure, guidance on process documentation and photography, support with written inquiry, and firing for 3-D work. Most materials are provided. For 3-D students, the first 100 lbs of clay is included; clay beyond that is billed separately.

Pottery made in class is mid-fire and meant for everyday use — microwave, dishwasher, and food safe. Firing happens here after class, so your work is finished in the same studio where it was made. One-day classes are paid in full before the session. Multi-week series are held with 50%; the remainder is due before week one. Cancel 14 or more days ahead for a refund or a move to another date; inside 14 days the one-day fee or series deposit is kept unless I refill the seat. Unused weeks after a series starts are not refunded. Exact schedules are shared when you book.
